Beauty Bytes: Top 5 K-Beauty Must-Haves for Oily Skin

Nothing can be completely frustrating than having a face so oily and greasy, it makes you look like a walking frying pan. And what can be more annoying than seeing your makeup melt just after a few minutes of putting it on? Everyone with oily skin knows the struggle.

I used to have excessively oily skin too, and this was the primary reason why I was attracted to K-Beauty. I was over my head trying to look for ways to combat grease and to prevent breakouts. In my search, I stumbled upon a lot of great K-Beauty products which work well for oily skin.

Today’s beauty review features Top 5 K-Beauty makeup and skincare must-haves for Oily Skin. This post may also be a guide for K-Beauty starters who are looking for makeup and skincare products that are best suited for this skin type.

Let’s get started!

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

To jump start the list, we have the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam. Infused with Jeju Volcanic Scoria which has a powerful sebum-absorbing capacity, this cleansing foam works well to wash away pore-clogging impurities while it leaves the skin soft, smooth and moisturized.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

The Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask also contains volcanic scoria which works well in absorbing deep-seated dirt and thoroughly cleansing the pores, and leaves the skin brighter and fresher. For maximum results, this clay mask is best paired with the Jeju Volcanic Cleansing Foam.

Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder

Still another item from Innisfree is the No Sebum Mineral Powder. This isn’t your ordinary face powder and isn’t dubbed as HG for nothing. This tiny product contains massive benefits and can be used in a lot of ways such as setting your foundation or BB cream and making your lipstick last longer (by dabbing powder onto your lips with a tissue paper). This powder can also be used as dry shampoo. Talk about multi-tasking!

Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control SPF 50+ PA+++

It can be such a total pain when foundations and BB creams feel heavy on the face, but not anymore with the Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control. With its unique two-step oil control system, this BB Cushion provides moisture for the skin and keeps the skin’s surface clear and matte. It also contains SPF 50+ PA+++ which makes it perfect for everyday use. You can check out my full review here.

Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Dear Brachiosaurus Oil Paper to the Sponge

Made from 100% Mulberry Paper, the Too Cool for School Oil Paper Blotter adds a cute, smart and innovative twist to the usual way we think of blotting papers. This oil paper blotter comes in a portable pocket-type pact with a mirror which makes it perfect for instant oil control solution. Not to mention, hygienic since it also comes with a sponge.

Truthfully, the only thing that put me off was the plastic material which was used for the case, but other than that, this item is definitely a must-have for oily skin, especially for those who are on-the-go.

We’ve come to the end of the list. I hope you find these K-Beauty products interesting. Who knows, they might be the perfect answer for your oily skin dilemma.

  1. I have actually tried everything here! Completely agree- they’re amazing 🙂 The sponge on the blotting paper was so confusing to me at first 🙂

  2. Hi! I do have oily skin and I want to try Laneige Cushion but I’m worried it won’t work for my skin (ang mahal pa naman hehe)

What else do you apply on your face before and after applying it?

      1. I love their cleansing foam too. But my favorite would be their Water Fit Cushion since it’s not heavy and keep the natural look.

  3. How do you find the clay mask? Does it reduce pore size and exfoliates blackhead? Have been considering this product for sometime now!

    1. Hi there! What I like the most about this clay mask is it doesn’t strip moisture from my skin, unlike some clay masks do. This clay mask removes impurities off of my skin without leaving it dry.

It removes blackheads and whiteheads, but there are still a few stubborn ones that remain on my skin right after I use this product.

It makes my pores smaller and my skin smoother too, but again not a grand or major difference.

Overall, this is a decent clay mask and it delivers most of its claims.

Hope this helps and hope you get to try this mask soon. 💕
