I’m pretty sure that if there is one thing we K-Beauty lovers can’t get enough of, it would be sheet masks. No die-hard K-Beauty fan can possibly deny the convenience sheet masks bring in hydrating and moisturizing our skin.
Sheet masks come in tons of different brands and variants to choose from and cost about 50 pesos to 300 pesos apiece. While this may seem fairly affordable, in the long run sheet masks tend to be a bit heavy on the budget.

In my K-Beauty quest to find new ways to pamper my skin, I came across this easy and simple Korean skincare hack which can be a good alternative to our all-time favorite sheet masks. Join me as I test out this clever trick and see if it is worth trying out.
Things you will need:
Douse your cotton pad with mist or toner until it is fully saturated in liquid. To maximize the skin benefit, add a few drops of your favorite serum into the cotton pad.
Peel apart the cotton pad to separate it into two sheets.
Place the soaked cotton pads all over your face and pat them in to lock the moisture into your skin.
Allow the cotton pads to sit on your face for 10-15 minutes.
I tested this hack using the Raclia Half Sponge Cotton Pad and The Face Shop Rice Ceramide Moisture Toner. This toner is perfect for this purpose because the consistency is a bit thicker as compared to the usual watery texture of most toners. I also added a drop of It’s Skin Power 10 Formula VC Effector to boost the moisture benefit.
Here are my final thoughts about this Korean skincare hack.
5 out of 5 stars
What I like:
This trick is true to its claims: it really is very easy and simple to perform and cost you almost next to nothing (considering that you probably already have cotton pads and toner in your skincare stash). I also like that it really delivers enough moisture to my skin, just like my favorite sheet masks do. This trick is definitely worth a try!
What I don’t like:
None that I can think of. This hack is quick and easy, what’s not to like?
