The Internet is a Treasure Chest and Here’s What I Found

So what (mis)fortune has brought me here on the blog on a weekday, spending the hours before bedtime trying to come up with pretty much a nonsensical blog post about my recent online purchases? Ha! The truth is, there’s ten million sad things running through my mind right now and no matter how much I try to reinforce the fact that they are trivial and unimportant, the more I am taken aback by the way they smother me.

Okay shut up, self. Let’s get back to regular programming.

For today’s blog post, I’m gonna share some of the things I bought online just for the heck of it. I am going to try to make sense here but I highly doubt that this post is ever gonna be helpful or even entertaining at all because this is just me talking drunk and sharing a bunch of cute stuff I got online, so please forgive me.

First on the list is the Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Color. I’ve been searching for a nice matte blusher for weeks now, and just when all hope seemed lost, I came across this this local brand which offers a good selection of makeup products. Almost without thinking twice, I snagged one of their pretty blushes in the shade Miss Independent and I couldn’t be any happier. I am in love with the rosy-peachy color, and I love how pigmented and long-lasting this blush is.

Next on the list are these floral-printed wallets which I sort of have a love-hate relationship with. I’m not really a fan of knock-off items. I would rather settle for something unbranded than to purchase something that comes straight as fake. But you see, when I first came across these wallets, I thought they were too pretty to pass up. I was actually excited to receive these wallets in the mail but when they finally arrived,  I have to say I wasn’t fully satisfied. The colors were more saturated compared to the ones shown in the advertisement, and the wallet itself was basically just a bunch of cheap materials stitched together. Nonetheless, I was still glad to have new wallets that I can use whenever I run errands.

Thankfully, the final items on the list are something that I was really glad to have purchased. I’ve been on the hunt for cute passport holders lately (’cause who doesn’t want to travel in style huh?) and I was so thrilled to find that my favorite online stationery shop has some of the cutest passport holders. The quality wasn’t exactly over the top but for the price, it wasn’t that bad at all. Overall, I was happy with this purchase.

Weโ€™ve come to the end of the post. Have you done any shopping haul lately? What new stuff did you get for yourself? Share them in the comment section below.

That is all for todayโ€™s blog post.
See you again in the next one.

Thank you for dropping by! ๐Ÿ’•wander-summer-blog-signature

  1. Love those passport holders! I currently have one which doubles as my card holder and I bring it everywhere because I don’t have any other valid I.D. except my passport. Haha huhuhu

Anyway, one of the main reasons why I don’t like buying stuff online is because sometimes the photos are very different from the actual product. Also, there are some stores out there na nagsasabi na authentic yung items nila pero obvious naman sa presyo na hindi. Nakakainis lang hahaha. I don’t do a lot of online shopping aside from skincare products, pero one of my go-to online shops is, dun ko binili yung 1989 album ni Taylor Swift and a few calligraphy items (which didn’t help me AT ALL. Hahaha)

Whatever’s in your mind, it’s really good that you found writing as an avenue to channel your thoughts. Here’s a funny story: nung college pa ako, may time na sobrang down ko and sobrang lungkot ko. And dahil nga I needed a distraction from my own thoughts, nagfocus nalang ako sa papers na kailangan kong isulat. In the end, I was able to submit before deadline, and I was able to give myself a break from marinating in my own misery. Two birds in one stone. Hahaha. It might be a temporary solution, pero it helps. Things will get better in the end โค

    1. Welcome to the world of #adulting hahahaha. Ako rin, waiting pa ako for other valid IDs to arrive in the mail kasi super tagal nila mag-process ng UMID and Voter’s ID huhuhu.

Online shopping definitely has its good side and bad side. I noticed din na kahit gaano ka-convenient shopping for stuff online, better pa rin yung nakikita mo yung items personally before purchasing them. This is true especially when shopping for clothes. I love to shop for clothes sa Zalora pero almost all of my clothing haul dun, hindi talaga ako 100% fully satisfied. It’s a good thing they allow package returns for free. Ewan ko ba, super ganda sa model tapos kapag sinuot ko na mukha na akong potato!

And yes, thank heavens we have words to let us breathe. I don’t know but I have always been like this, always so soft and so melancholic. Lately, I’ve come to accept this as part of who I really am, and to just allow feelings to flow and pass on their own. And of course, distractionsโ€”hell of a lot of distractions.

  2. You always manage to find the most adorable items on the internet! It’s a little disappointing when you receive a product and it doesn’t match your expectations, but I guess you could always return it? On the other hand, those passport holders are fab, I’m looking for some as well ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yes, I could’ve returned the items but then again, I didn’t want to put myself through the hassle of filing for a return slip and all that. It also didn’t help that the online platform where I got these wallets does not have good policies regarding return items. So in the end, I decided to keep the items. They weren’t so bad after all.

Hope you score some nice passport holders soon, Siyana! ๐Ÿ’•

  3. I love the flamingo passport holder! Very cute.
I do the same with blogging when my mind is constantly over-saturated with miserable thoughts. Hopefully you’ll get back on a even keel soon.

  4. Our minds sometimes decide to latch onto little things and not let them go. I hope you’re able to get some peace from those nagging thoughts soon ๐Ÿ™‚ In the meantime, these finds are adorable!! I love the floral wallets and those cute passport holders!

    1. “Our minds sometimes decide to latch onto little things and not let them go.” – This is such a profound insight, Angela! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. And yes, those passport holders are irresistibly cute!

  5. The wallet and the pasport holder are cute. Is that a fake brand wallet?

Unfortunately I haven’t shopped online lately, so there is nothing to share with you ๐Ÿ™‚ But I am very happy that I can save my money hahaha.
