Hello everyone! I have another blog award to share today.
I was nominated by Olivia for the Liebster Award a few days ago. Olivia blogs at Arrow & Dot where she puts up lots of interesting book and TV reviews. Please feel free to check out her blog. Continue reading “The Liebster Award”
One of my ultimate struggles in beauty blogging is finding the perfect background for my flat lays. I always have hell of a hard time choosing what color complements my subject or what fabric goes well with a particular product. Continue reading “Beauty Bytes: Faux the Love of Flat Lays”
I know it has been months since the last time I wrote for the Wander Weekly series in my blog. When I first started this series, I promised I would publish at least two chapters every month, but somewhere down the road I swept that promise under the rug and decided to confine my mindless musings within the frayed yellowing pages of my tattered journal. Continue reading “Wander Weekly 05: Exploring a New Musical Terrain”
About a week ago, Natalie published a new interesting blog tag named The Lottery Tag. Here is a quick synopsis of the tag. Continue reading “The Lottery Tag”
I know myself too well and I know for certain that when someone asks me to go out of town, I would be quick to run for the nearest exit before I could even say no. Continue reading “Under Northern Skies”

Here’s a truth about sheet masks: No matter how many times we buy them, we cannot seem to get enough of them. At 1-3 dollars apiece, they seem harmless on our budget. But sustaining a sheet mask routine on a long-term basis is definitely not a cheap habit to have.

Hello everyone! I am excited to share with you my latest haul from Althea Korea. There’s nothing special in this haul, really. Just a bunch of items I picked on a whim. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
Sylvia Plath’s shocking, realistic, and intensely emotional novel about a woman falling into the grip of insanity. Esther Greenwood is brilliant, beautiful, enormously talented, and successful, but slowly going under—maybe for the last time. In her acclaimed and enduring masterwork, Sylvia Plath brilliantly draws the reader into Esther’s breakdown with such intensity that her insanity becomes palpably real, even rational—as accessible an experience as going to the movies.
A deep penetration into the darkest and most harrowing corners of the human psyche, The Bell Jar is an extraordinary accomplishment and a haunting American classic. (Goodreads)

After Finitude by Quentin Meillassoux
The exceptional lucidity and the centrality of argument in Meillassoux’s writing should appeal to analytic as well as continental philosophers, while his critique of fideism will be of interest to anyone preoccupied by the relation between philosophy, theology and religion.
Meillassoux introduces a startlingly novel philosophical alternative to the forced choice between dogmatism and critique. After Finitude proposes a new alliance between philosophy and science and calls for an unequivocal halt to the creeping return of religiosity in contemporary philosophical discourse. (Preface, Alain Badiou)

Hello everyone! I’m going to share some of the sheet masks and peel off masks that I got from my recent trip to Watsons. (And by recent, I mean last month haha) I wasn’t able to post this mini haul on my blog last month as I was terribly lazy and in no mood to write or to take pictures back then. Yikes!
But today, I am glad to finally put up this blog post and to share with you some of the newest sheet masks in my collection.

There should be a word for the gap in our souls, for this hollow space in our chest where our hearts used to be.
I reach out for myself, dragging my hand all the way down my trembling lips, my bruised neck, my aching collarbones, and notice the cracks stretching infinitely into that lonely cave they call heartbreak. I let my hand wander further and find my skin a vast ocean of memories. My eyes water, my tears forming pool and tracing an island of scars.
