About two years ago, I wrote a review on my favorite powder blush from Pink Sugar in this post. Some time last year, they released a new version which is a compact cheek palette. And just last month I was finally able to get my hands on this beautiful blushes, all thanks to Lazada’s Bounce Back Sale haha. It feels weird writing this review in the middle of a pandemic where lipstick, above all else, is the last thing that people have in mind. Because after all, why bother wearing a lipstick when it is gonna get covered up by a mask anyway? Continue reading “Beauty Review: L’Oreal Paris Earth on Fire Color Riche Matte Lipsticks”
Oh how I missed writing about beauty blog posts and sharing stuff with you guys! Today, I am back to share with you something that was born out of boredom during the quarantine and something that has kept me occupied for most of the lockdown season.
Like most people, I tried to make the most of the time during quarantine by doing a bit of spring cleaning. Part of this included decluttering tons of lipsticks from my makeup kit. By the time I was done, I was left with only a handful of pretty basic lipstick bullets which I wanted to transform into cute-looking ones. Hence, this project was born.
Introducing the Do-It-Yourself Method to Depotting Lipsticks!

Basically, what we’re going to do is simply to transfer the lipstick from the current bullet case into another bullet case. You can use any bullet case of your choice for this matter. You may choose to re-use bullets cases from luxury brands such as Chanel, Dior, YSL if you have those or pick some cheap and cute empty bullet cases from online shops just like I did. It’s really all up to you.
I wasn’t able to take photos of every step in the method so I will simply write each of the procedure as clearly as possible, okay? Let’s get started!
Step 1: Prepare the materials.
To start the process, you will need the following: lipsticks for depotting, some cute empty lipstick bullet cases, and sheets of wax paper or cling wrap.
Step 2: Freeze the lipsticks.
Toss the lipsticks for depotting into the freezer and leave them there for about six hours. Any time longer than that might turn the lipsticks into hard rock ice so just stick to no more than six hours of freezing time.
Step 3: Transfer the lipsticks.
Take the lipstick from the freezer. Remove the cap and twist the lipstick to its limit to reveal all of the product. Using a sheet of wax paper or cling wrap, gently pull the lipstick from the bullet case. You may try tugging the lipstick sideways very carefully to get the product off the case.
Once you get the lipstick off, slowly insert it into the empty bullet case. Do not try to press the whole thing into the bullet case as doing so may damage the lipstick. This step requires concentration and patience. Don’t worry because you’re almost done!
One more tip: it is best to work with one lipstick at a time. If you are depotting multiple lipsticks, do not take all of the lipsticks from the freezer all at once, as doing so exposes the other lipsticks to heat and makes them melt easily while waiting for their turn to be depotted. Also, try to work as neatly and as quickly as possible with the lipstick in hand in order to get good results.
Step 4: Shape the tip of lipsticks.
This step is totally optional. But if you’re working on used lipsticks and want them to look sharp and new again, you may try slicing a thin portion off the tip of the lipstick in a pointy slanted manner or whichever way you prefer.
But before you proceed with this step, make sure to disinfect the slicing tool to ensure that no bacteria will transfer onto the lipstick. Likewise, take the time to disinfect the tip of the lipstick after slicing it off too.
Step 5: Flaunt and flash your lipsticks.
Congrats! You did it. You now have your favorite lipsticks in cute looking bullet cases. Share these tips to family and friends and be creative. The possibilities are endless!

Hello everyone! It feels fantastic having the time to finally sit down and write another beauty review for all of you, beautiful people of the Internet. Today I will be sharing my thoughts about my current favorite skincare products from the local brand, Apotheke Science. Hello guys! It feels like a lifetime ago since the last time I wrote a beauty-related blog post in here. The past few months have been a total bitch, for a lack of a better adjective. You see, early this year my phone and my computer gave up on me all at once. I lost a lot of digital archives, photographs, templates — stuff I had worked so hard on for past year.
It’s been ages since the last time I placed an order at Althea Korea. It was mostly because I was trying to use up my mountain pile of skincare stash before plunging into a new purchase. I take so much time going through all of my skincare products, thanks to my being so inconsistent with my routine haha.
Hey, you guys! I’m so glad to be back here in the blog. I wasn’t able to post reviews because my computer got infected with malware and I lost all my files. At the same time, my phone which I use most of the time to take photos also got broken. How tragic is it that my devices decided to give up on me all at once haha. But yeah, I’m gonna save that story for another blog post. Continue reading “Beauty Review: Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Foam”
I’ve always been a no-makeup kind of girl. I mean, I’ve tried one too many times to learn how to apply foundation without turning my face into a melting cake or to draw my brows without looking like a total clown. But in the end, I still always end up with a funny face. I think I’m just more comfortable with no makeup on, or maybe I’m just plain lazy haha. Hello everyone! Let me begin by saying how much I miss blogging and how much I hate the fact that I am not able to put up content on this blog consistently. When it comes to loose powder, I am as loyal as a dog to Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder. I am head over heels in love with this loose powder since the day I got my hands on it. But as much as I love Innisfree, I always make sure to keep an eye out for other options.
There’s one product that I am currently loving these days and it’s no other than this loose powder from the Korean beauty brand, W.Lab. Continue reading “Beauty Review: W.Lab Sebum Out Finish Powder”
