It’s been ages since the last time I placed an order at Althea Korea. It was mostly because I was trying to use up my mountain pile of skincare stash before plunging into a new purchase. I take so much time going through all of my skincare products, thanks to my being so inconsistent with my routine haha.
Nothing breaks my heart every end of the year than parting with my beloved planner.
Happy Monday to everyone! I shall begin this week with a good news from one of my most favorite local online beauty shops.
Just last week, BeautyMNL finally launched their official mobile app. The BeautyMNL App is a super seamless, swagged-out version of the Shop, featuring over 500 beauty brands and close to 15,000 products for your shopping pleasure. Here are just some of the cool things you can look forward to when you download the app:
For the past few days, I have been mulling to myself about putting up a weekly section in this blog, so much like Siddathornton’s The Sunday Currently but something more personalized, something I can freely call my own. For some reasons, I feel like The Sunday Currently is already too crowded with bloggers, and I have a particular disinterest for anything too inhabited, too occupied (or one could say, too mainstream).
For this time on, I will be posting reflections on just about anything under the sun in this new section I tagged as Wander Weekly. This will be one of the first attempts to document my thoughts again and to recover the art of writing which has been buried somewhere deep in my disregard for language and thought.
Hello everyone! I am excited to share with you my first haul for this year.
A few days ago, my Althea package arrived on my doorstep. I placed my order on December 27 (Tuesday) and I wasn’t expecting my package to arrive until the second week of January since there was a shopping notice last December that orders may experience shipment delays. But thankfully, my package arrived sooner than expected.
About a week ago, I was finally able to complete 30 reviews on BeautyMNL, and for that I was given extra shopping credits. Since BeautyMNL offered free shipping last week, I took the convenience to shop for free and without the additional shipping fees. Yay!
Althea iOS Mobile App Beta Testing Program
Early last month, I received an email from the Malaysian lifestyle blogger, founder of The Butterfly Project and Althea Korea’s Head of Creative Communications, Social Media and Editorial, Ms. Tammy Lim, inviting me to register as one of the 50 beta testers for Althea Korea’s Mobile App.
Since it was my first time to participate in beta testing, I was so excited but at the same time completely clueless as to what to expect in the process. But thankfully, Ms. Tammy was very patient with us and sent us email updates from time to time regarding the mobile app progress.
In my previous blog post, I wrote down a list of online shops where one can buy affordable, high-quality Korean sheet masks. For today’s blog post, I will be sharing my honest first hand experience on shopping for sheet masks from a local online shop.
The Cool Mom’s Shop offers affordable Korean beauty product at budget-friendly rates. I found out about the shop while scrolling mindlessly at Shopee and hunting for some new sheet masks to try.
The shop has instantly caught my attention because they offer the lowest prices for Korean sheet masks (priced at only PHP 15 each). At first, I had qualms about trying out their sheet masks but after checking all the positive reviews about the shop, I went on and gave them a try.
Sheet masks have certainly come a long way in its venture as one of the most-raved and sought-after skin care product.
Coming from its humble beginning in South Korea as an indispensable part of the iconic 10 steps Korean beauty regimen, sheet masks have now acquired a global status (as evident in the beauty trends of both the East and the West) and hailed as an all-time cult favorite among beauty and skin care enthusiasts alike.
Today’s blog post is a basic introduction to sheet masks and a simple guide on where to shop online for the most affordable Korean sheet masks.
Whether you are looking for an affordable present for a friend, or scouting for some new skin care products to try, or just simply giving yourself a beauty treat for the weekend, shopping for your beauty knick-knacks need not cost a fortune and send your budget down the drain.
Get your money’s worth and check out these affordable Korean beauty products at Althea Korea.
Hello everyone! Today’s blog post is a review on Piolang CP-1 Raspberry Hair Treatment Vinegar. If you like to see my previous product review from the same brand then kindly click here.
Piolang or Esthetic House is a Korean beauty brand. I first learned about Piolang through Althea Korea. At first I was a bit skeptical to try anything from this brand. But because their products come in huge sizes and are very affordable, I decided to give this brand a try.
Let’s head over to the review.
Hello everyone! Yesterday morning, my package from Althea Korea finally arrived. It took about two weeks for my order to be processed and delivered. It is pretty slow compared to my previous shopping experience, but it is still a pretty decent time frame considering that it is an international shipping.
As always, everything is packaged securely and the items are in their mint condition. I know I have raved about Althea Korea all over this blog since I have discovered them a few months ago, so I will not bore everyone with the long-winding talk about this shopping site. If you want to know more Althea Korea, you can check out my previous posts here, here and here.
Just the other day, I realized just how much of a sucker I am for cleansing foams. If there is one skin care product that I will never let myself run out of, it would be cleansing foams.
Just to give you a reference, I have oily skin that resembles the works of a petroleum refinery. And save for a few essentials, I cannot for the life of me live without cleansing foams.
My most favorite cleansing foams are the ones from Innisfree. But from time to time, I like to try out cleansers from different brands. The one I am currently using is the Piolang 4D Pore and Balance Foam Pack.
Hello everyone! Today’s blog post is all about the birthday package I have received from Althea Korea a few days ago.
Just last week, Althea Korea celebrated their first ever birthday and painted the town pink with their exciting contests, promos and giveaways. Thankfully, I was able to place two orders within their celebration period (20th—30th July) and to avail of the limited edition birthday box and DIY party kit before it ran out of stock.
Hello everyone! Let me share with you the magic that’s inside my recent haul from Althea Korea. It has only been less than a month since my first ever haul from Althea Korea but when I browsed the site last week and found out that they have a lot of new items, I immediately grabbed some of my favorite Korean beauty products.
I waited for a week for the processing of my order and then another week for the delivery. For this second haul, the processing and delivery took a little bit longer compared to my first haul.
I was actually expecting that the delivery might take longer than the estimated time frame of 15 business days because of the recent holiday (Eid al-Fitr) and the inclement weather. But luckily, last July 8 (Friday) my much-awaited package from Althea Korea finally arrived.
